Dwalin x OC Changing times part 3
The pair return and word of this new comer has spread through out the remnants of the town and the people are gathering outside her door. “Oh damn...” Ellen scrunches up her nose and pouts as they approach. Dwalin gets awe-inspired stares and whispers as he follows the young lady to her home.
“Ellen! Who is this?” An old woman shouts from the door step.
“Mother, this is a merchant from far away. He's staying for a few days.”
“And you're just letting any old man waltz into your home?” She presses, frown deepening.
“The inn is unsafe, mother.” She sighs, the old woman steps off the

They walk in silence, Dwalin takes in their surroundings the forest is dense and green but the further they walk the more ruined buildings he sees, finally it dawns on him, this town she is leading him to. That is his city. Some houses remain standing, fires burning in fire pits and children playing in open doorways. He sighs and she looks up.
“Here we are, unless you don't want to stay here?” He looks over at the inn, the roof is barley standing and he can clearly see a tree going in the front room.
“I really don't it doesn't look stable.” She nods and bites her bottom lip, curious people begin to appear, staring at
Reclaiming the Mountain did not have the outcome Dwalin had hoped for. With Thorin, Fili, and Kili buried and an untold fortune at his disposal he remained in the mountain through Dain's coronation, the tax hikes, the unrest, but finally with a heavy heart he pulled his wealth and left heading toward a once bustling city where man, elf, and dwarf lived in peace under a senate and figure head family.
Ellen stood up slowly, bundles of sticks cradled in her arms. Snow was starting to fall and she could see her breath. She approaches the road and looks both ways before starting on her way home, as she walked she could hear a wagon approaching he

Hobbit: Lindir x Hobbit Reader- Flowers
Hobbits were tiny creatures, not prone to adventure nor were they inclined to be far from home, yet here were two in the company of rowdy dwarves so very far from home. The male looking quite distressed by the men while the little lady looking quite pleased to be with them, both had a mess of brown curls with large eyes, though the colors were different there was little questions that they were related somehow. Lindir was pulled from his thinking as Elrond asked the dwarves to dinner, he wanted to protest but this was the last homely house and so the dwarves were taken to a room to safely store their packs before Lindir was given the 'honor'

Bilbo x Reader: Dancing raindrops
“Here Mr. Gandalf, can't you do something about this deluge?” Dori yells through the pouring rain, the whole company is soaked through and Bilbo looks especially miserable without a hood and cloak to keep his clothing at somewhat dry.
“It is raining, Master Dwarf, and it will continue to rain until the rain is done. If you wish to change the weather of the world, you should find yourself another wizard.” Gandalf shouts back over his shoulder leaving the dwarf to grumble to himself.
“Are there any?” Bilbo asks, Gandalf turns and looks at the halfling.
“What?”
“Other wizards?” Bi

(f/n) woke early in the morning and got dressed in a cream colored dress with a green corset before packing away her maroon one and several other things she'd need on the road. With that done she stepped out of the hall and sighed, the dwarves were quiet but most were awake, she carefully side stepped some that were still sleeping or just avoid the ones that were not paying attention before adding her bag to the pile of things they would be taking with them before turning to go to the kitchen. She rounded a corner and walked into Thorin, her face even with his chest, he let out a soft 'umph' and looked down at her, her face was bright red

The journey had been relatively uneventful, sure they were being hunter by orcs but for the most part the company walked all day and rested all night with littler interference from their enemies and some where along the way Gandalf brought in another stray to add to the company. (f/n) lay on the cold hard ground looking up at the stars between the the fluttering leaves of the trees above while the others talked and laughed happily around a warm fire; one dwarf was different though, while (f/n) looked up at the stars Nori looked at

Dwalin had no need of great wealth, he was doing his duty to king and county by joining Thorin on this quest, a bonus was just that the great horde would (supposedly) be split between the company. He trudged up the pathway to the round green door, looked at the symbol and knocked, the door opened and on the other side stood a young hobbit with a mess of curls. He bowed low to the little lady. “Dwalin, at your service.” He straightened and sm

The fire snapped and popped in the hearth, two empty mugs sat on a side table while (f/n) and Dwalin cuddled on the plush chair. She hummed softly while Dwalin ran his calloused fingers through her long (h/c), suddenly she broke the silence “What about Hedi f we have a daughter?”
“Hhmm, I like that.” Dwalin rumbled holding her close and nuzzling her hair “And Dadde if we have a son.” (F/n) smiled and yawned softly.
“I like that.” The silence returned, only disrupted by the snapping of the fire “I hope you are
